Hi! Thank you for being here and taking the time to read about Gus :)
Anyone who has met Gus knows how sweet and loving he is! Andrius and I are so thankful to have such an amazing pup as our best friend! Sadly our boy isn't always the sweetest and sometimes he gets into some trouble...
On Saturday October 23rd, Gus ate a large part of a towel that was laying out to dry his and his brother Oakley's feet off from the rain. Luckily, we noticed quickly and we were able to take Gus to an emergency vet on Monday October 25th! After a check-up, a few x-rays, an ultrasound, and some blood work, the vet suggested Gus should go into surgery to remove the parts of the towel that were still in his stomach and intestines. He had his surgery on Monday and is recovering at the hospital for a few days. The surgery went well and the vet was able to get a lot of the towel out of his stomach and intestines. She is confident that if she missed anything, his body will be able to pass it! They want to monitor him a little longer due to his age (almost 10 years young). We love our boy and we would do anything to help him but unfortunately the vet bills are adding up and Andrius and I are struggling to come up with the funds to pay for them.
Andrius and I are very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue our education in graduate school but being in graduate school means we are both unable to work while in our programs. We know a lot of people are struggling financially and do not expect us to reach our goal but we knew it would not hurt asking the people who love and support us for some help <3
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to click on this link and read about our current situation with our baby Gus. If you are able to donate any amount, we appreciate you so much! If you do not have the means to donate, please consider sharing the link to our GoFundMe page so more individuals can read about Gus and see his adorable photos <3 We will post updates on this page to keep anyone who wants to follow along informed. Thank you!!!
