Please Help Patti and Jeff

My friends have carried me throughout my life. They have reminded me of who I am when I've forgotten, and I would be much, much less than I am without them. One of those friends needs help: my friend Patti and her husband Jeff have each been battling cancer for the last few years, and Jeff's has advanced significantly now. Even with insurance, medical care is expensive, with co-pays, travel, time away from work, and the general exhaustion that is a reality of living with cancer, whether you are the patient or the caregiver. Patti and Jeff have been both for a long time, and now I hope that together, we can hold them up some, making these days a little bit less hard, and letting them know that they are not alone.

The pictures here are of my writing group from graduate school, of which Patti is a member. The group has been together for over 20 years now, and we've seen each other through a lot of both loss and joy. I would be so grateful for anything you can give, including sharing this post if a financial donation isn't possible.
