Hi, my name is Michael Bevan from Chenango County. A year ago, this homeless lady had her ID stolen, and I saw her today. She's famous if you've ever been on Route 11 in Binghamton. This lady, around 60+, is called the Waiver. She would wave at all the cars all day long on Route 11.
Anyway, she has no money, it's getting cold, and she's not going to survive another winter sleeping in barns. She has no address, nothing other than 2 bags. I knew her over 15 years ago; her mobile home in Conklin was flooded and made her homeless. 15 years and still homeless. She's not on drugs, doesn't drink, and is pleasant otherwise. About 10 years ago, I helped her break ice blocking the door on a storage shed she had her stuff in. She lost everything after her ID was stolen and couldn't pay for it. Last year, I tried getting ahold of a reporter from Press and Sun in Binghamton. He did an article about her and losing her ID. Guess they never helped.
Please, someone needs to help. Reach out, do something. Her name is Pat Crossman. She needs housing, food, and a life. Someone that's got nothing, anything helps. First time we're doing this, hope it's okay.
