Please Help Parvati Bergamo’s Family

To the many friends of Parvati/Padu:

My name is Mia, and I have been in communication with Parvati's mother, Janet, to find out how we can best help her family through this inconceivable moment. Janet doesn't have a computer or email, so I have conveyed to her the many tributes shared on Parvati's Facebook page, and I have Janet’s permission to create this GoFundMe on behalf of the family. All proceeds raised here will go to Janet and Parvati’s son, Damian, so that they can cover unexpected costs at this time and plan Parvati’s memorial. Every contribution matters and is deeply appreciated.

Many have asked about the memorial. This is currently in the early planning phase. Janet would love to have a Celebration of Life for Parvati, possibly a gathering at a park in Ventura where her friends can come together to share stories and memories. To give everyone time to plan and the weather to warm up, Janet’s current thinking is sometime toward the end of February or early March. If you would like to attend, please stay tuned and lend your feedback.

To avoid rumors and to give all those who loved her and are devastated by her loss some answers, Janet asked me to share a little about what happened. Parvati came home from a trip to the market and explained that she fainted and fell at the store, then fell again on her way home. It is not known if an incident/fall happened before the fainting spell, but Parvati was laughing about it, said she had a headache, and went to lay down. When they went to check on her, they could not wake her, so called an ambulance. It was then determined she had an unrecoverable brain bleed. Before she passed away, it was decided that Parvati’s wish of being an organ donor would be fulfilled.

Finally, in Janet's words: "Anything anyone feels they can do is welcome. I am grateful Padu has so many friends and that she will be remembered kindly. I look forward to meeting everyone at her memorial and hearing their stories and having a party in her honor."
