Parto Naderi Salon has been a staple in River North for 26 years. Parto is known for not only being the owner, but also a stylist. He has grown the salon over the years to become a safe and warm environment for clients, friends, family and staff to enjoy.
Parto has worked extremely hard to prepare the salon to open on June 3rd after being closed for the last 2 months due to Covid-19. The salon was fully prepared to open with all of the safety precautions and guidelines set forth by the state and local governments and the CDC.
The staff is eager to get back to work, we miss our clients. The salon is a second home to many of us.
However, on May 30th, 2020 as the peaceful protest started to come to an end, the looting began. It was devastating to watch the security footage as people came in and destroyed not only the place we work, but our second home. To see the footage and the aftermath and not be able to do anything, but move forward and comeback stronger.
We are on the same side. Nobody agrees with police brutality. We all want to see them held accountable for their actions and to feel safe and protected in our communities. Through this process we have felt a sense of togetherness from the community, business leaders, clients, family and friends all coming together to help during this uncharted territory.
The salon received extensive damage during the looting and anything given will go towards our reopening efforts, between retail, broken windows, water damage. Anything will help us!
We will come back stronger and better than ever.
