This is Amy's story.
I am starting this Gofund me to help with all her expenses. For all the things that insurance doesn't cover. Also, for living expenses while off of work.
I went for my routine mammogram and in the beginning all was normal. The lady took pictures and in the middle of taking pictures she asks if I have breast cancer in my family. I said no. She left the room and got another lady. This lady took pictures and said they would need to investigate further as they saw some new calcifications that had formed. I was then taken to ultrasound where the doctor informed me that I would need a biopsy ASAP to check things out. I wasn’t really worried because I’ve had cysts in the past so I was sure that was what this was. Imagine my surprise when I sat across the table from a nurse who said you have invasive ductal carcinoma in situ.... in English breast cancer in the duct. I was stunned. This kicked off an amazing journey of uncertainty and fear coupled with the most biggest outpouring of Gods love that I have seen to date in my life. I know He will change me in this journey to make me more like himself and use this to encourage others as well.
Please find it in your heart to give and share.
Thank you.
