Please help our Ukrainian family friend!

Our Ukrainian friend needs our help! Please read her story below. She has been displaced since February and is currently staying at my home, with her youngest son. The rest of her family is in Ukraine .   Here is her story in her own words ….

 

Imagine that you have a career, an apartment in the city, a summer house in the mountain, 3 sons in a beautiful country you love.

 

Imagine that you have to leave your home with nothing other, than your documents and your parrot in the carrier. No clothes, food, water. By car. With no understanding.... now what?

 

Imagine that you have a choice to stay with your husband and 2 older sons, who couldn’t leave the country or to join your youngest son and support him in another country (US).

 

Imagine that your spouse survives 2 heart attacks in a couple of months, telling no one. However, when he came to the doctors, they put him into urgent operations under 6 hours of anesthesia, and his heart was seriously reassembled again. He cannot work for months now.

 

Imagine that you lost your excellent job in Ukraine because of the war. With no income, you applied for a work permit and have been waiting for several months now. At the same time, you must help your husband, sons, and elderly relatives back in the country.

 

And the country is still at war.

 

I need some support for that uncertain period to keep up with all the challenges for now. I'm sure that the situation will end for the better soon.
