Please Help Mr.Kemp Fight Colon Cancer

This fundraising campaign is created on behalf of our loving teacher Brent O Kemp, who dedicated his career to education and has been fighting Colon Cancer (大肠癌) since 2020. Mr. Kemp taught IB English at Shanghai Pinghe Bilingual School from 2012 to 2015, and we as 2016 graduates had the opportunity to have him as our teacher, our mentor, and our friend who sings the best.

Colon cancer is an aggressive form of cancer which takes years of commitment and patience for treatment. Since the diagnosis in October 2020, Mr. Kemp has been doing a series of chemotherapy, examinations and medication. He underwent two major surgeries. The first surgery in 2020 removed 2/3s of his large intestines, and he had his second surgery on June 2nd, 2022, and is currently recovering at home in the Bahamas. In the meantime he continued his work as a teacher in order to cover the expenses, but unfortunately that source of funding was terminated because of medical absences, leaving him with no income source to pay for his monthly expenses such as medicines and treatments.

A father of one, and a teacher to many, Mr. Kemp looks forward to his recovery to teach, sing, and enjoy life again. To continue his treatment, we are asking for urgent help and any donation can contribute towards Mr. Kemp’s medical costs and care. Let us help to take the financial burden off his shoulders.
