This amazing dog stole a piece of my heart the moment I met him and he bowled me over ❤️As his foster mum, I grew to love him almost instantly, and he was always by my side. Weeks turned into months, then years, and it almost began to seem as though he would be with me forever. Then one day, out of the blue, a family came to see him, and they also fell in love. This fundraiser is about them, and more specifically, Simon, Unix’s dad.

After excitedly jumping off the couch about two weeks ago, his amazing owner Simon found that Unix couldn’t walk. He picked up the big boy and drove him to the vet, which resulted in about a week stay and spinal surgery for the poor bub. He was released a few days ago after showing signs of improvement, but had to go back for a second stint. Just as they thought that he was finally getting home and back to Simon’s loving care, back to the vet he went for a third stay. The total cost of this, as anyone could imagine, is quite substantial, and the amount we’re trying to raise doesn’t come close to covering it, but I feel like I have to do something. He’s not out of the woods yet.

While I know Simon would do it again in a heartbeat, and he’d probably want to keep the amount quiet, I think it would warm his heart to feel some love from the community every bit counts!
