Help Support Our Selfless Mom in Her Fight Against Cancer
Our family is asking for help for someone who has spent her entire life helping others.
My stepmom has been bravely battling cancer, and over the past two months things have become even more difficult. Because of complications related to her illness, she suffered a broken hip, leaving her unable to work and severely limiting her mobility.
She is a self-employed hairstylist and owner of her small salon, The Lions Mane, in Montrose, Colorado. Her work has always been more than just a job to her—it’s how she connects with and supports her community. Many people know her as someone who is always there to lend a hand, listen, and give back whenever she can.
Right now, she is the one who needs support.
This Thursday, she will be traveling to Denver to see a specialist who is hoping to perform surgery that could repair her hip and help her regain mobility. However, there are still many unknowns—whether the surgery will be possible, and if it is, what the recovery will look like.
Because she is unable to stand or move normally, she has not been able to work for two months, and as a self-employed stylist that means no income. Despite this, the expenses haven’t stopped. She and my father are trying to keep up with both their personal living expenses and the rent for her salon, which unfortunately cannot operate while she is healing.
We are asking for donations to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Your support will go toward medical travel, living expenses, and keeping her salon afloat while she focuses on healing and fighting this battle.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping us support someone who has spent her life lifting others up. Our family is deeply grateful for every bit of kindness, support, and prayer during this uncertain time…
