Hello, please let me introduce our little rescue & what we humbly do. My name is Sally, I am English & my partner is called Daniel & he is Romanian & we met four years ago through our joint passion for the plight of abandoned, abused & just plain unwanted dogs on the streets of Romania. We have a small private shelter in County Arad where we have built kennels by ourselves in which to safely house the dogs & they reside here with us until they are able to be rehomed & we have indeed through working with small charities successfully rehomed hundreds of dogs in the UK. We try & make this as comfortable as we can for the dogs... they have living areas in small groups, have raised beds & plenty of straw & quite unusually for a shelter they have free play 2-3 times per day so they are all out together having fun & interacting, which is quite a site to behold when you have more than 80 dogs at a time. Daniel is a natural with them & manages their care so well & when they are adopted we are always complimented on how well socialised & happy they are... which is amazing when you think of the poor start they often come from.

We have abandoned litters, single strays, those who have been hit by cars or hurt in some way, as well as those who are sick or just wandering the streets & have never known human love or anything better.

This is a passion, our love... we do not sell dogs or make a single penny from this... we just love dogs & cannot turn a blind eye. Our income is my work. I work two jobs as a nurse in the UK & Daniel works hard at the shelter seven days a week, rain or shine, well or sick... there is no back up, we cannot take a day off. We manage to scrape by with my extra shifts & some kind adhoc donations from our small loyal following on Facebook but it is hard week in week out to make ends meet & put food in these bellies. As times become harder & harder for all so is meeting the dogs needs becoming increasingly challenging & we face going into a harsh Romanian winter with a large looming vet bill to pay due to so many rescues recently & no reserves to buy the whopping amount of food we go through every day & the straw they need to keep warm & not perish.

Once they leave us a charity takes over their transport & care & finds them wonderful forever homes but to that point they are our responsibility & that is where I implore you if you can to help, to help us sustain their existence, their rescue that gives them hope of a future. We know deep down that some of these dogs may never get to board the happy bus to a new life & in that way they deserve even more to have a full belly & a comfortable bed in this life they have been given... it is not perfect but it is safe & they are very much loved & of course alive... which if left on the streets to fend for themselves... well, the outcome is likely to have been very different.

Thank you so much for reading... we are so committed to what we do & work hard to achieve it but we are truly in need of some help right now to help us help them make it through. Just this last few weeks we have rescued more than 40 dogs.... including a family of six from wasteland where they scavenged through rubbish to survive & a mum & her puppies from a storm drain where the local fire brigade came to our assistance as well three more litters of pups & their parents as well as adhoc strays on the streets... we are full to the brim & our food bills have never been higher as these babies & nursing mums need meat as well as biscuits.

We save lives day in day out... if you can we implore you to help us try & sustain them... they deserve their second chance at life & a the possibility of forever happiness... if you can play a part in their rescue story they would be so very grateful... every penny goes straight to the dogs... to their bellies, their comfort, their care... to their rescue story ♥️

This money will help us make it through to the harsh Romanian winter... will help us feed them, pay for their vet care, keep them warm with straw & will allow us to make alterations to the five outdoor pens we made this summer to keep accepting rescues.... ensuring they have covered sheltered areas to protect them from the wind, rain & snow.
