We rescued this black Frenchie from the street in the pouring rain. Her name is Kodak. She has stolen our hearts and is a great sister to our Bane. She has been in and out of the vet with tons of health issues. Finally, after a million diagnostic exams, she has been diagnosed with PYTHIOSIS (GI). This is a very rare disease. She is such a loving, caring and happy doggie! We have Been paying all medical bills out of pocket but there’s a lot more to go. The insurance just denied coverage little Kodak needs all the help she can get. Any little bit helps! Thank you thank you thank you #kodakstrong #dogrescue Hello!
My name is Evanna and I am from Miami, Fl. My fiancé is a police officer and while on his way home from his shift on October 4th he found a little French Bulldog in the street in the pouring rain. He picked her up and brought her home. We checked for a chip and posted on social media but nobody came forward claiming her and no chip was found. We gave her away to someone and they returned her within 24 hours because they didn’t want her. We fell in love with her and decided to keep her. She has been the perfect addition to our family.
We enrolled her with the doggie insurance Trupanion and took her to the vet. On her first visit she was fine but we had to take her back about a week later because she was throwing up a lot... with blood.. After a lot of money spent on lab work, xrays, ultrasounds, cytologies, an emergency room visit we were able to see an Internal Medicine doctor who re-did her x-rays and bloodwork and finally was able to diagnose her... with PYTHIUM. Because it is a rare disease it is tough to fight. her gallbladder is distended and her stomach walk lining is out of control thick and inflamed. . As of yet, insurance continues to deny care. We are still fighting and doing everything we can to continue trying... but we are at the point where we now need help. We can’t continue to have her like this.. she has a shot at life... pleas help us save her. This will take a village, but we WILL fight & we WILL get through this . ❤️❤️❤️
Below I have attached her Internal Medicine doctor's info along with information about this rare disease. THANK YOU.
