On 12/27/2025, our parents Muffet (Dorothea) and Mel lost the place they’ve called home for over 20 years in a single hour. A sudden, devastating house fire took away not just their belongings, but the sense of safety and comfort they worked so hard to build.
This house wasn’t just walls and a roof—it was where seven children were raised, holidays were celebrated, memories were made, and where our family always felt grounded. Watching my parents face the reality of walking away with so little has been heartbreaking.
We are beyond grateful that everyone made it out safely, but the loss is overwhelming. They are now starting over with the basics—and face the exhausting process of rebuilding their lives. Even with insurance, there are so many unexpected expenses and gaps that add stress to an already painful situation.
We are asking for help on their behalf to ease even a small part of their burden. Every donation, share, and kind word means more than we can express. Your support will help our parents take their first steps toward rebuilding and remind them that they’re not alone in this.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you’re able to give.
