We are Ben, Sherry and Doug, Miriam's parents. Her precious husband Ryan just passed away, only 2 weeks before he and Miriam would have celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary. Ryan bravely battled Stage IV prostate cancer. He was determined to have more time with her. His illness required constant care, which Miriam lovingly provided. Being Ryan's full-time caregiver meant she was unable to work. Now that Ryan is gone, she is overwhelmed by their financial obligations and debts. Their savings are gone. There's no life insurance. They had no assets for her to fall back on. Miriam needs time to grieve, to figure out where she'll live and to find work.
