Please help our little border terrier Teddy
Donation protected
Hi,
my name is Mark and I’m fundraising to save our little border terrier dog, Teddy.
Teddy was ill for a few days and so my wife took him to the vets this morning.
After some initial checks the vet said Teddy was very ill, jaundiced and high heart rate. We were advised to leave him at the vets and for him to undergo tests to find out what is wrong with him - bloods and scans. We have been told this will be over £700 alone.
We do have insurance that covers the first £1,500 after we pay an excess.
This afternoon we were told Teddy has a blocked gallbladder and his liver levels are high.
The vet has already hinted at having Teddy put to sleep as a gallbladder operation will be £3,000.
This little guy is our world, we have never asked for anything before but simply cannot afford the operation money.
Teddy is everything to my wife, myself and three at home children.
Doing a go fund me was suggested multiple times after I shared our story on the Border Terrier Facebook page, mainly to ask for positive thoughts for Teddy and to urge people to make sure they have good pet insurance (better than we have).
If this is something you could help with, it is an understatement to say we will all be eternally grateful.
We are all distraught at the moment and I hope this is coherent enough to relay our predicament.
Any help saving our Teddy is appreciated any amount is less we will have to borrow (somehow) to save our little guy.
Thank you so much
Mark & Family
Update:
Today ( Christmas Eve) - Teddy underwent his 2.5 hr operation and this is solely due to you simply amazing people on here. I want to hug and thank you all . Many on here I know personally and many I have no idea who you are and it melts all our hearts how generous and kind you are.
it is not easy asking for donations but it was the only way Teddy got to have his life saving operation.
hopefully Teddy has many more years to enjoy and each and everyone here has a stake in that.
we owe you so much , the little guy literally means the world to us, he is such a lovely little dog.
the surgeon has said if he is still doing well after five days then he should be fine. Fingers crossed.
Having Teddy at home and on the road to recovery is the best Christmas present we could ever had.
thank you so much for.
