Help our granddaughter Stella Testa win the fight
Donation protected
My husband and I have always been givers. We always look to help others in any way possible. It is difficult being the ones asking for help.
A parent/grandparents fear happened 2/6/2021. Our granddaughter Stella was taken to the emergency room. We were thinking she had something ordinary like an ear infection; instead the doctors found a mass behind her kidney. Our baby girl was then put through the gauntlet of tests and scans, and we waited what felt like an eternity for any results. A tumor was found embedded into her spine. The tumor was diagnosed as Neuroblastoma Cancer and cannot be removed without removing part of her spine.
Stella was 4 months old 2/9/21
Our little girl and her parents have had to endure so much:
Scan/w dye-showing tumor in spine
Multiple Biopsy Results
Bone Marrow procedures from both of her hips.
Med Port-for Chemo
Her first Chemo treatment was March 2nd.
She has not been home for nearly a month.
She will undergo more testing to see if Chemo is working. If it is not responding they can be referred to St. Judes
It is difficult to put into words the emotions we have experienced over the past month. The questions we had for the doctors were all we could focus on at the beginning. Now other questions are beginning to arise.
How will the parents work?
How will their 16 month, older daughter, be cared for?
How will they afford simple things like cancer gloves that can cost $40 per box.
This is going to be a long road, but we have the fight in us! Please, if your able, help us fight even if it is just with a prayer or two.
We thank you in advance for your love, support and prayers.
Your friends,
Mike & Connie Sirna
