Please help our friends Ken and Aki

Two weeks ago Kentaro suffered a back spasm attack (his third in five weeks) so extreme, the pain has rendered him bedridden.  A couple of days after the initial attack, he began experiencing severe numbness and weakness in his lower abdomen and legs. Over the course of a week, while pain symptoms persisted, he gradually lost his ability to walk on his own as a result of the progressing numbness. A week was spent fearing the worst, and after a series of visits to doctors, holistic practitioners and an MRI scan, they have learned that he has contracted an infection in his spinal nerves which have caused these symptoms.  The good news is that he can make a full recovery and he is on a path to healing, yet although we could only hope for a speedy one, it is expected to take time. He is a woodworker, meaning he will be unable to work until he makes full recovery.  He has a 1 and 3 year old and a wife who depend on his income to survive. We humbly ask for your help today, whatever you could- no amout is too small. The fund will go toward medical/holistic bills, rehabilitation, child care, food, basic living.
