Please help our friend Paul with medical expenses

I have known Paul Robertson for over 21 years. I met Paul while teaching a law enforcement digital forensics 4th Amendment class for police at George Mason University during the Regional Computer Forensic Group symposium 21 years ago. He kept asking what-if questions during the class, and I invited him to take a piece of chalk and help teach the class. He accepted, and thus started a long and great friendship! Over the years, Paul was always available to help me with work, while I was with the DC Police computer crime unit. If we had any technical problems with cases, Paul was our go-to expert to provide the solution or answer we needed. He never asked for any payment or compensation for that help! Being friends with each other was all he ever expected. Paul was always willing and available to help the FBI in DC, the Secret Service Task Force, and local police with digital forensics issues or cyber intrusion cases. I commented over the years that if Paul charged for all the help he provided, he would be a multimillionaire today! But he never did, and he is not wealthy today. His wealth and value is in his heart! What he has done over the years for others, and rarely ever asked anything in return.

His girlfriend shared that Paul has done so many good deeds for people over the years, such as paying a month's rent for a waitress he heard crying because she could not afford her rent. He once purchased an air conditioner for a couple he knew with health issues. He also once paid for three nights of hotel lodging for a friend from Canada moving to the USA because they were short on money at the time.

Paul served in the military with high distinction, and afterward, he was asked to serve in Ronald Reagan's White House Communications agency.

Now the bad: Paul has some serious health issues today. For the past couple of months, Paul has been struggling with Diabetes, weight loss, and kidney issues. He was hospitalized for 3 weeks, and now is in a rehab facility, but the care there is not good. He has been bedridden for months. He is currently not working and has run out of his short-term disability benefits. His insurance is giving him a hard time, and even though Paul needs more healthcare assistance, the insurance is unwilling to provide more coverage for him.

Paul helped so many people over the years! NOW is the time for "US" to help him. Donations to this fundraiser will help him pay for some of the care he desperately requires. Please reach in to both your heart and your wallet or purse and give what you are able to give. Paul is the kind of person that would never ask anyone for this type of help for himself, BUT I am asking you for help for him! Thank you!
