Please Help our Friend Lesli pay for an MRI!

I am writing this on behalf of our dear friend Lesli Bartlett.  In the middle of December 2020, Lesli was diagnosed with moderate to severe heart failure caused by the pre- and post-eclampsia she experienced during the pregnancy and after the births of her last two children.  Lesli is the most humble, dependable, loving and kind person that you could ever hope to meet.  She is the mother of 9 children, biological and adoptive ranging from adulthood to 10 months of age, in addition to two foster children who consider Lesli and her husband to be their family.  She gives back to her community tirelessly through both her nonprofit called Wrap Around Families and through the countless hours she spends advocating for those in the First Nations community that she is part of.  She is passionate about youth who are aging out of care and seeing them grow and flourish.  Her entire life has been devoted to caring for others and now she needs our help.  Before a treatment plan can be established and they can move any further along in the healing process, Lesli needs to have an MRI of her heart.  The waiting list for this service is months long, months that they do not have.  Fortunately, the procedure that Lesli needs to have done, is one of only two procedures in Ontario that can be paid for privately.  The cost of this MRI is $1595.00 plus tax, in addition to transportation costs to the appointments in Mississauga.  We would like to invite you to help us raise $2500.00 for the Bartlett family which will go directly toward paying for the cost of the MRI, transportation costs and any additional help they need within their home over the next couple of months as things unfold. Any funds raised over and above our goal will go to the family to help with the ongoing costs associated with Lesli’s health and help for the family and her young children.
