Gina and Chris Dietz have been dear friends of my wife Carrie and I for over 30 years. There are two things I think of when I think of Gina and Chris, sold out for the Lord and longsuffering. Gina and Chris have been committed to their children John and Brendan, their friends, and growing God's kingdom for as long as I've known them. They've also suffered much in that time. Chris came close to death from a staph infection some years ago and Gina, just a few years ago, overcame stage 4 breast cancer. Now Gina once again is in the hospital fighting for her life. She's on life support after days, possibly weeks, of suffering from a heart attack that was finally diagnosed on Tuesday November 19. Gina's left ventricle has serious damage and it could be weeks before doctors know if her heart can heal enough to sustain her life. Chris and the boys are understandably distraught at having their wife and mother suddenly in such a life threatening position. As you can imagine, hospital bills will pile up to unknown levels; and with the numerous other health issues that Gina and Chris have had over the years, Chris has very little sick leave or vacation time available to him through work. We ask that you pray fervently for Gina's complete healing and give generously as your means allow to this faithful family so that they can focus on Gina's care and healing.
