Hello my name is Jake and I’m the youngest son of my mom. My mom has been fighting cancer since 2010 and is on her 7th reoccurrence. Her cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, spine, adrenal glands, lungs, chest wall and liver. She is currently on a strong chemo and gets infusions of chemo twice a month as well as hydration fluids 3-4 times a week and a neulasta injection once a month. So I’m sure you can imagine the financial hardship our family is under. My mom is one that hates to ask for help. She says it makes her feel like a burden, but she is everything but a burden. We are just going through some difficult times. She was receiving 23$ a month in food stamps and she no longer gets that. It wasn’t much but we could at least buy a loaf of bread, eggs and a gallon of milk. I find it sad that the ones who need help rarely get it. So I’m asking for anything that will take this burden off her. They say to stay away from stress but I don’t think that’s possible. My mom is in a lot of pain but you wouldn’t know it by looking at her but I know the truth. Any help whether it’s sharing this go fund me or donating to pay bills or even buy groceries would be a tremendous help to our family. Her whole disability check goes to bills and it’s not much.
