Please help my family start our dream business!

I’m Magy, a wife and mother living among the mountains in western Wyoming. Our family has a creative, entrepreneurial spirit, and we have always dreamt of using our energy and talents to grow an online business. We want to design and sell thoughtful products that will help others, and thereby support our family’s needs.
Life has been hitting hard lately, and we started to doubt our vision.
Then I was blessed to find the Rainmaker Family community, made up especially of mothers like me, who coach other families through the process of designing, producing, and offering their own brands for sale using the Amazon marketplace.
This community has re-lit the flame. I have been accepted for enrollment in their one-year mentorship program and I’m determined to make the small daily efforts that will build our family business from the ground up.
I am fundraising in order to gather the seeds of our business, which I will plant and diligently learn to care for and cultivate. I need your help to overcome a financial hurdle that is blocking the way forward!

Those of you close to our family know that we have faced a lot of adversity over the past few years.
As brand new fiances in early 2020, my husband and I (like so many others) lost our livelihoods. Masks and riots were the norm in Sacramento that summer, but we were looking forward to marriage and preparing to welcome our first child into the world! By fall we were newlyweds. Then, an unjust housing dispute turned life upside-down. Nine months pregnant, we hurriedly packed up and moved to Wyoming in December. Ten days after arriving in an unfamiliar place, our son Gus died during birth. We were heartbroken and lost.
By spring, God sent us a ray of hope: we were expecting another child! Still working through grief, we managed to make new friends and somehow make ends meet. Our beautiful son Ivan was born in the fall. Since then we have experienced so much joy! But my husband’s search for employment dragged on month after month, and we often wondered where the next month’s rent would come from. Finally, after countless let-downs and dead ends, this summer he completed an intensive training and totally changed careers, but his new full-time job is an awkward fit for us all.

These trials have brought our deepest values into greater focus. We have learned to trust in God’s will for our family, and lean on our faith and each other. We were blessed to spend so much time together in Ivan’s first year, and although there was great uncertainty, we got to work on projects and toss dreams around. My husband put his heart into creating a show about redemption that he so wants to share with the world. But now that he’s working overtime, life feels rushed and the moments we so value all together - praying in the morning, eating meals, long walks and long talks, the simple things of love and life - are compressed or missed altogether. Ivan wants his PopPop around. We are grateful to have the means to support our basic needs, but are unable to make progress toward our bigger goals, especially buying our first home.
We’re ready to go into business for ourselves, buy back our time together, and let God and our creative gifts lead the way.

My goal with this crowdfunding campaign is to raise $3,000 to cancel out debt that our family incurred during a long period of unreliable income. This will allow me to secure a favorable business loan to cover enrollment in the 12-month mentorship program and invest in the manufacturing of our first product.
When I meet my fundraising goal, I expect to be able to start the Rainmaker coaching program immediately and engage with new skills, strategies and software.
God willing, we expect to launch a tangible, awesome product - though we’re not sure what it is, yet! - for sale in the spring or summer of 2024.
My prayer is that this training and what comes from it will give my family the gift of more time to grow together, and in turn enable me to help other families do the same.

Thank you for visiting my campaign, and I hope that you can make a donation. Every dollar counts! Please share with friends and family, especially creative souls with a knack for giving!
