Please help our family recover from this tragic accident

Hi, my name is Goldie Chaney and my sister-in-law and her children were in a head-on collision on Brian Station Road Saturday afternoon where the driver of the opposite vehicle unfortunately lost his life and his friend is in critical condition. Our prayers go out to their families. But my family is seriously injured. They've been in and out of surgeries for the past two and three days, two of them which are only seven years old, identical twin girls, Shayla and Layla. They are amazing and strong and hanging in there through multiple surgeries and multiple injuries. They've had to remove intestines from Layla. She has a broken leg and a broken back. Shayla has a broken arm and they had to sew her tongue up as she bit her tongue during the collision. Our babies are in so much pain and all we can do is pray. We are feeling helpless because we just want to take their pain away.

Their mother, Samantha, took most of the damage, as the car hit more on her side, pinning her inside the truck. The whole entire left side of her body is broken. She has broken fingers, a broken arm, a broken foot, broken toes, a broken hip, a broken leg, her femur was snapped in two different places, multiple crushed ribs, her lungs had collapsed, and she's been in and out of multiple surgeries as well for the past two days. My nephew Austin, 19 years old, and his 17-year-old girlfriend Rachel were also in the truck with them. Rachel has a broken collarbone and a fractured hand. Thankfully, Austin was able to get out with minor injuries, but he has endured so much trauma. His quick thinking and swift actions helped save his family's lives. He pulled his girlfriend and baby sisters from the truck, struggling with the task of getting his mom out of the smoking truck while calling 911. He then ran to the other car to check on them as well, witnessing the horrific scene and knowing that there was nothing he could do for those two young boys. Vehicles going up in flames, eventually pulling his mom out with the help of a female passerby, also calling his dad to break the news. He is a strong and smart young man and I am so proud of him. Our little hero.

My brother is struggling with a mental load and a burden that no one can imagine. His family was in a car wreck and his baby girls and his wife are hurt badly. He has the burden of taking care of all three of them while trying to maintain the home for their other three teenage children. We're all pitching in to help as much as we can, but we need your help financially. Knowing that when it's time to eventually go home, accommodations will have to be made for his wife, such as a ramp for wheelchairs, and now they don't have a vehicle. We have to have a van for her transportation as well. It's so much that has to be taken care of while also caring for their medical needs. Not to mention the hospital stay will be weeks and it gets expensive just for food, drinks, and necessities. If you can donate anything to help, please, please help my brother and his family. We appreciate and are very grateful for any help they can get. And if you can't donate anything, please share this link and keep the prayers coming.

Thank you all so much.
