Hi, my name is Chris and writing this with hopes and prayers we can get help for our dog, Sophie. She needs a lot of tests done and/or possibly surgery. Monday night, we took her to the emergency vet because she was trying to urinate frequently and nothing was coming out. They did an ultrasound and put in a Catheter to drain her urine (3 liters worth) and prescribed her antibiotics, which she’s been taking every 12 hours, for what they thought was just a UTI. We thought the worst was over and that she wouldn’t have to deal with this ever again. We paid for that emergency visit with our credit card and in return, are now maxed out on the credit we can use, and of course are tapped out on our earnings due to rent and utilities.
Today, Friday, she is experiencing this horrible situation all over again, not even 5 days later. We are currently at the animal hospital again, seeing if they can help with maybe something they missed last time but charged us for. We are unsure what they’re able to help us with other than to drain her bladder again, which will buy us 24-48 hours of time until she needs to be drained again and/or surrendered, which is not something we or anyone else in this world are wanting to do. She is a big part of our family. She is only 3 years old and she has so much more time (doggie years) left to live. We are asking for $4,000 in donations because the emergency vet said all the tests they need to run to rule out what it can be or what is causing this to happen to our poor dog is not a guarantee that they’re going to find what they’re looking for. Surgery might be necessary. Please help our dog and our family. We appreciate any $ donations that can be made.
Thank you dearly
Sincerely,
Sophie and family
