This is our beloved dog, Diesel. We just adopted him on April 29, 2025. He loves camping, walks, our pit bull Rupert, our Jack Russell Raven, and most of all hugs and kisses. Diesel was so excited to go camping for the Columbus Day/ Indigenous People’s Day weekend, but when we got there, he vomited. At first we thought he might have just been carsick, but a few hours later, he vomited blood. We had to take him to the emergency room in the middle of the night, but they couldn’t find what might be wrong with him, so we followed up with our own veterinarian after the weekend. X-rays still did not show anything, so he was sent home with medications. When he didn’t respond to the medication and was still vomiting, we took him back to the veterinary clinic where the second set of x-rays did show a blockage. Diesel had to have emergency surgery to the amount of more than $10,000. He is home now after 5 days in the hospital and we hope he will make a full recovery. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
