Please Help Our Coworker Jason Fight Cancer

The staff of the Coolidge Corner Theatre is extremely close-knit, both in and out of the workplace, so when we found out that our coworker and friend Jason Lucia is battling cancer, we knew we had to act and find a way to help him.

For over four years, Jason has been a fixture of our floor staff. His infectious laughter and one-of-a-kind energy have made him an integral part of the Coolidge community. A brilliant writer and conversationalist, Jason has a seemingly endless well of experiences so utterly implausible they must be true. His affable demeanor makes even the longest and busiest nights at the theatre more enjoyable for the patrons and staff alike.

The news of Jason's diagnosis has rocked our community, and so we must act. While we have raised money internally, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to what is sure to be a costly treatment. If we want to help to alleviate some of the financial strain and allow Jason to focus on his health and his recovery, we need to turn to the greater network of cinephiles, friends and family that constitute the Coolidge community and beyond. That's why we've created this GoFundMe campaign.

Any contributions you choose to make will go directly towards covering Jason's medical expenses, treatments, medications, and any other unforeseen costs that may arise during his journey towards healing.
