On the morning of 27 March 2026, a devastating explosion tore through a home on Carr Lane in Hambleton. Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 10am after what Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service described as “an explosion within a domestic premises” followed by a severe fire.

The blast completely destroyed the property, leaving nothing salvageable. Police later confirmed that neighbouring homes had to be evacuated and that the incident is under investigation as an isolated case of arson.

How This Has Affected Craig

Craig Davies was at work when he received the devastating phone call that the home he lives in was destroyed. In a matter of minutes, Craig lost everything he owned. He now has nothing more than the clothes on his back. All of his personal belongings, pets, memories, and the precious items left to him by his parents were taken by the fire. These were irreplaceable, and their loss has been devastating for him.

Craig is now facing the unimaginable:
