Corky UPDATE::: So much has happened since I started this GoFundMe.  Shortly after giving him the medication that the Vet prescribed Corky went downhill fast. Corky was unable to walk, poop, pee or even move due to the negligence of our Veterinarian. We received advice and thank GOD we decided to bring Corky to be evaluated and ultimately treated by a doggie chiropractor. After just 3 sessions with this doctor we found out that the X-rays were NOT read correctly by the Vet,  if they were even looked at.))  Everything lead the chiropractor to a very dangerous  case of bowel impaction which led to our baby almost passing away. However, After the first Chiropractic treatment Corky immediately began to show signs of improvement . Today our baby is still unable to fully use his left back leg but the change is miraculous! He is doing much better and Brett and I are so grateful ! He’s often tired from not having use of that leg but he has such a big heart and is the strongest little guy I know! We are pushing for our goal so that Corky can continue his treatments for the next couple months. Once we hit our goal I will close the fundraiser. For those of you who have been texting me for updates. Forgive me for not always responding quickly. It’s been a very long journey and we still have a lot ahead. God is good all the time !

My husband and I are searching for financial help for our baby Corky. ❤️‍

He began limping about a week ago and started favoring his right leg and showed signs of pain and discomfort on his left. Our regular vet sent us home with an anti-inflammatory and explained that if this is not just a small injury and he doesn’t show improvement, we would need to follow up with x-rays.

However, yesterday evening, he took a turn for the worse and we had to rush him to an emergency vet hospital. But because we could not afford the x-ray, they sent us home with medication (gabapentin), hoping it would carry him over to Monday until we can see the regular vet for a more affordable x-ray/treatment. Corky did not react well to the gabapentin and was still showing signs of pain. He was also not responding much and then urinated on himself. The emergency doctors recommended we bring him back to be evaluated once more. The doctor then explained that an x-ray would definitely be the next step; however, an x-ray might not show nerve damage or a deeper issue or may miss something that could be causing the issue. Ultimately, the best they could do for us is give a shot of pain meds to make him more comfortable. X-rays will need to happen next, and the cost is going to be too much for us. So far, we have spent $247.57 for the first ER visit and another $82.46 for the return visit/pain injection. Tomorrow, we will be bringing him to his regular vet for an x-ray and hopefully a plan moving forward.

We know how hard things have been for a lot of people on a financial level as well as just life in general. If you cannot donate for Corky's treatments, we completely understand. All we ask from those who cannot donate is to PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER. We believe that God is good in ALL and in EVERYTHING. We know the power He holds and the love He has for us. We have seen His blessings in our lives, but we also understand that the perfect life is never promised, and we have to walk alongside Jesus to be strong enough to handle life’s mountains as well as valleys.

We are asking for $1000. This will get us past tomorrow and cover both vet bills from the emergency as well as tomorrow’s x-ray, visit cost, and any new medication needed. PLEASE understand this goal amount most likely will change as we try to figure out what exactly is going on with our baby. I
