Please help Otis and the O'Riley Family

Hi, I'm Jill, I am part of the community who love and care for the O’Riley’s.

We are asking for help to raise funds to support Otis as he moves through his treatment. Otis was diagnosed with lymphoma (a type of blood cancer) just before Christmas 2022. This was of course a huge shock for his family. Since diagnosis, Otis has been in and out of hospital receiving treatment and managing the effects of the treatment. He has been an absolute warrior throughout, just getting on with things, even though the treatment can be very invasive, painful and exhausting. Laite and Michael have been diligently by his side throughout it all. They tag team being with Otis in hospital / caring for him at home (when they are lucky enough to get some time out of hospital for a few days), caring for Ziggy, and of course working to make ends meet.

While Otis is a complete champion at this and is kicking goals, he still has a long way to go. Once his treatment is finished, he will require lots of monitoring and follow-ups. It will be some time until he can properly resume care outside of the home (preschool). He will need his parents to continue to provide a high level of care and support. It will soon get to a point where Laite and Michael's leave will be exhausted. Giving what you can will help to relieve some financial pressure for the O’Riley’s and allow them to focus their emotional energy on supporting Otis through his treatment and the follow-up period.

The O’Riley’s are a loving family. They are always bringing people together, checking in on their community and supporting others. Now it's our turn to support them in the most practical way we can. Let's come together as a community to provide practical support to Otis and his family. Rest assured that every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to the O'Riley family and will make a difference in the lives of Otis and his family.
