Please, help Osi complete his tuition fees

Hi, my name is Osinachi Wogu, and I’m a medical student at St. George’s University, Grenada. Being a medical doctor has been my lifelong goal, and I have had to overcome multiple challenges throughout my academic journey as a science student in secondary school, a health sciences graduate in the NCUK International Foundation Year program at Dublin International Foundation College, and now, while I complete the 3rd year of the 5-year M.D. program at St. George’s University. My objective in medicine is to specialize in OB-GYN due to my passion for improving maternal mortality rates in Nigeria and beyond. Losing loved ones to avoidable medical mishaps inspired this journey over a decade ago. After graduating from medical school and completing a residency in Ob-Gyn, my goal is to play my part in bettering not just maternal healthcare, but health care in general.

However, I’m currently facing an obstacle amid achieving this dream as I have had to take a leave of absence from school due to an outstanding tuition bill. Right now, my home country’s currency, the Nigerian Naira, has lost over 70% of its value over the past year which has made raising funds very challenging.

I’m grateful for my family and friends who have helped me raise 11,500 USD (9025.27 pounds) of the total amount needed so far. I’ve made some progress but there’s still so much to be done. I’m now appealing to anyone who is willing and able to support me by contributing towards the outstanding balance, which is 42,000 USD (33,061 pounds). Unfortunately, if this amount is not settled by the 28th of July, 2024, I will be dismissed from my medical school program and deported from Grenada.
