Please Help Oleg Beat Cancer!

My name is Valentina, I decided to write and ask for help, because I really want to save my husband and father of two sons, his name is Oleg and he has brain cancer.

I met Oleg on an ordinary day 8 years ago. He was trying to recover from a painful divorce, and I was just recovering from my last relationship. Oleg came to our first meeting with his youngest son, who was 6 years old at the time. We immediately became friends, as I really love children. I never thought that this day would change my life.
We became inseparable and have not parted since that day. Life was good. We traveled, smiled, and went camping with friends and family...
We dreamed big, planned to create a family and children, and left one of the rooms in our house for the future nursery. Unfortunately, fate decreed that I could not have children. I had an operation and several years of treatment, but alas, it was all to no avail.

2 years ago, Oleg lost his mother to an aggressive cancer, and he was devastated. He is the only son. His father, who was 88 years old, was left alone in another country. About a year ago, he managed to bring him to Canada, and they both tried to comfort each other.

Everything changed one day on December 12, 2019. Oleg has never had any serious health problems. On that day, he was returning from work and stopped in the parking lot of a plaza, and he was very lucky that his eldest son Denis called. While talking on the phone with his son, he developed severe seizures and lost the ability to communicate.
Denis realized that something was wrong and called 911. They were able to find Oleg using the locator of his mobile phone after 30 minutes. On the way to the hospital, the attacks recurred. Thank God that at that moment he was not driving.

My husband was taken to Southlake Hospital unconscious and had to be intubated and put on a ventilator. After initial tests, emergency doctors suspected a brain tumor. A week later, he was transferred to Toronto Western Hospital, where a craniotomy was soon done.

After the operation, Oleg's surgeon came to us, she was clearly shocked. She told us that although the tumor was small, only about 2x2 cm, and she was able to remove most of it, its location and the way the cells look under a microscope made her believe it was one of the worst possible tumors.
Unfortunately, part of the tumor - 0.7 cm - remained in the same place, as the doctors explained to us that in his case there is no possibility of complete removal, since he may remain disabled - he will lose speech and be incapacitated.

Two weeks later, biopsy reports came with shocking results: grade 4 glioblastoma (aggressive wild type) - GBM.

Neither me nor Oleg have a family in Canada, but friends were with us. They visited us several times a day, in turns, and made a schedule to be with Oleg in the hospital so that I could take a few hours of rest and go to work. We spent Christmas Eve in the hospital TV room dining with our closest friends.

Oleg was sent home to recover after the operation. We immediately completely changed our diet, abandoned many products, switched to vegetables and fresh green juices, as well as all kinds of anti-tumor decoctions of herbs and roots. Thankfully, Oleg recovered pretty quickly from the operation.

On January 26, 2020, Oleg began a course of radiation and chemotherapy at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Once again, friends were there to help us get to treatment as we live in Newmarket - over an hour's drive from this cancer center. Oleg signed up for a study and was given experimental injections in the hope of defeating cancer.

The worst came at the end of March, just after he finished the first 6 weeks of treatment. The results of an MRI showed an increase in the tumor, it increased to a larger size than it was before the operation. He lost the ability to communicate, he developed weakness in the right side of his body, which affected his ability to walk, and severe headaches became more frequent. But the doctors reassured us, do not worry, this is just swelling after the radiation and in a few days he will get better. But alas, every day it got worse, he was paralyzed and he lost his speech.

We did not give up, every minute I was with him and we continued the treatment. Two weeks later, Oleg learned to walk again, hold a spoon, and also learned to speak. We continued with chemotherapy.

At the end of May, after the planned MRI, we found that the tumor continued to grow and its size was already almost 4.5 cm. On June 5, 2020, our doctors informed us that unfortunately they had tried all the means, but nothing helped and they could no longer help us that there is no such protocol for this diagnosis yet.
Then they stopped all types of treatment, including experimental ones, and we were told that Oleg needed to finish all his "unfinished business" in the near future and be ready for anything. I will not describe all the feelings that we had to endure. Although the medical team agreed to try the old cancer cure as a last resort, they left us no hope.
Unfortunately the tumor was increased again.
It shows on MRI Report - July 3, 2020 - measuring 5.4*4.2*3.4 cm.

But I'm not ready to give up! After extensive research, we drew up an individual treatment plan for Oleg, which includes: chemotherapy, naturopath, holistic medicine, meditation and hypnosis.
We looked for immunotherapy methods in Germany or the US, but due to the current COVID 19 restrictions, this is out of the question.

I am organizing this campaign to help cover the cost of comprehensive care, which is a significant financial burden on a family. Oleg today is officially disabled and cannot work, and I completely devoted myself to caring for Oleg. These funds will help us fund previous and future treatments and therapies (hopefully immunotherapy) and daily living expenses.

We really appreciate any input, and if you can't contribute please share this campaign on your social media. Sharing is also appreciated.

We are grateful for your contribution and prayers for Oleg. God bless you!
