I’m setting up this GoFundMe for my brother and his beloved dog, Nyla. She’s only 1 year old, full of energy, mischief, and love, and she’s already brought so much joy to our family. On Saturday, while playing at the park, Nyla slipped and injured herself. Since then, she hasn’t been able to use her back legs at all, and it’s been absolutely heartbreaking to watch such a happy, lively puppy suddenly unable to walk.

Despite how scary this has been, we’ve started to see small signs of improvement in just 4 days, which gives us hope that she can recover. Nyla has already had an X-ray, and thankfully there were no fractures, but she still requires ongoing care to regain her mobility. The vets have recommended hydrotherapy and laser therapy, which are the best ways to help her rebuild strength, improve movement, and get back to the playful, happy pup she was.

My brother has already spent thousands on emergency treatment, medication, and overnight stays at the vets, doing everything he possibly can to care for her. Nyla’s insurance only covers a certain amount, and the remaining costs for her ongoing therapy and care are more than he can manage alone.
