Standing by Brittany, Noah & Mia in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Wes, and while I’m not the focus of this story, I’m writing on behalf of my best friend of over 20 years, Noah Escamilla, and his wife, Brittany.

Noah and I served together as Air Force firefighters. We met in the fire academy right after boot camp and were roommates throughout our training. I was lucky enough to be stationed with him in Florida for my last two years of active duty, and we even deployed to Baghdad together. After my service ended, I returned home to Fort Worth, while Noah eventually moved back to San Antonio, finished his degree in education, and followed his calling to become a pastor. He now teaches and preaches at South San Antonio Baptist Church.

In 2022, Noah and Brittany adopted their beautiful daughter, Mia, who is now 3. They’re a loving, faithful family—kind, generous, and truly down-to-earth.

Unfortunately, they’re now facing a heartbreaking challenge. In late February of this year, Brittany was diagnosed with breast cancer. Because of a genetic condition, her treatment will be more complex and aggressive. Just this week (April 3), they learned she will need a double mastectomy, which is happening April 10th, followed by chemotherapy and most likely radiation after that.

This GoFundMe is to help them through the unexpected burdens that have piled up alongside Brittany’s diagnosis. In just the last week of March alone, their refrigerator broke, their fence blew over, and their car broke down. While dealing with the emotional and physical toll of cancer treatment, they shouldn't also have to stress about everyday emergencies or making ends meet.

Noah is juggling teaching, ministry, and now trying to figure out FMLA to support his family through the rest of the school year. I want to help them stay on their feet so they can focus on what really matters—Brittany’s recovery and caring for Mia.

Any amount you can give would mean more than I can put into words. And if you can’t give financially, I ask that you pray for Brittany, Noah, and little Mia. Your love and support will go a long way.

Thank you for reading, and God bless.
