Hello, this fundraiser was created by a group of Michigan women trying to help our amazing friend Niki!

 

Niki has been diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation 1 and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which are both are incredibly painful and debilitating. She has been living in confusion and extreme pain for many years, and was unable to find a reason or answer for any of it until now.

Niki is unable to work because the Chiari Malformation is compressing her spinal cord, and the EDS is very painful. There is no cure, and the medication for these diseases have horrible, traumatizing side effects.

Niki needs  Brain Decompression Surgery.  Her condition is deteriorating more rapidly than at first realized and they are trying to get her in as soon as possible, but the side effects of her disease are weakening her to the point where surgery cannot be scheduled.  She is meeting with GI doctors to try and help find a way to strengthen her body, and specialists to help her find courage in her spirit.

Niki is one of the most beautiful souls you will ever be blessed to meet. She is unwaveringly positive. Her heart is large, kind, and generous. She loves fiercely and gives everything she has to anyone who might be in need- friends or strangers alike.

Niki lives alone with her two elementary-aged children who are her whole world.

Niki’s family tries to be here as much as they can but they live in other states, so most of the burden of care falls to local friends.

I have started this Go-Fund Me page to collect donations for Niki and her family.

Niki is unable to work because of her illnesses, and she cannot do this alone.
The money raised will help to feed and clothe her family, pay rent, household and ever-expanding medical bills.  Basic day-to-day expenses are a struggle right now.  Any donation is appreciated and will go 100% to helping Niki and her kids survive this terrible situation.

 

Niki and her kids are beyond grateful for any help that you- her friends, family (and I am sure some kind strangers)- are willing and able to give.
