Please Help Nelson Walk Again

Hi, my name is Melanie Manuel and I am reaching out to ask for your help in supporting my dear friend Nelson Beron. Nelson and I were classmates from high school in the Philippines. He has always been a hard-working man and has been through more than his fair share of struggles in life.

In July of this year, while delivering donuts to help support his sister's business, he was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. The accident left him with 2 broken bones in his left leg, and he has been struggling to find a way to afford the critical surgery he needs to repair the damage. With the support of family and friends, they could only afford to have his leg put in a cast. The surgeon at a government hospital explained that the surgery to fix it can be done for free however, the hardware required (titanium orthopedic implants) will cost 125,000 Filipino Pesos.

Having been orphaned at an early age with his siblings, and now living in poverty, they don't have the resources to pay for the surgery on their own. As they are without health insurance, it seems unlikely that this surgery will ever happen, and without it, Nelson may not be able to walk again, work, or support his family.

That's where you come in. I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to raise money to help Nelson afford the surgery he so desperately needs. Every dollar you contribute will go directly towards paying for the surgery and helping him get back on his feet.
