Hi, my name is Rae,

On July 28, 2021, Miss. Nellie Carmen and her magical and angelic spirit entered my life and her love and optimism has changed the way I and others see the world, daily.

Every day she hops and limps around Manhattan while passerby’s cheer her on! She is at the vet about every 10 days now for treatments for her condition and she always leaves happy and hopeful as do I for her recovery.

Nellie is a 3 year-old Chihuahua mix rescue. She has been struggling to take hold of her immune system for the last two years and we are at the tail end of this healing journey as surgery is what she needed to finally recover.

To all of you in this GoFundMe community who love animals and who rescue animals know what our pets give to us and what we give to them in return. It is a love that stands on the highest ground.
