I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend, Natasha, during one of the most heartbreaking moments of her life.
Natasha lost her mother just days ago after a long and difficult journey with dementia. For years, Natasha was not only her daughter, but her mother’s devoted advocate. She visited the nursing home almost daily, ensuring her mom’s needs were met, speaking up for her care, and standing beside her when she could no longer advocate for herself.
While doing all of this, Natasha was also navigating her own serious health challenges. Over the past year, she has been battling chronic autoimmune illnesses that required ongoing care and significant out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Professionally, Natasha works full-time as a non-medical companion caregiver for others. Her role does not include benefits such as sick leave, paid time off, or bereavement. Because of her mother’s passing, she had to take six days off from work, resulting in an immediate and substantial loss of income.
Adding to this burden, Natasha’s mother did not have life insurance, leaving Natasha with unexpected end-of-life expenses during a time when she is already emotionally and financially overwhelmed.
So many people have lovingly said to Natasha, “Please let me know if you need anything.” This GoFundMe is a way to turn that kindness into tangible support—helping ease the strain of lost income, medical expenses, end-of-life costs, meals, and daily necessities—so Natasha can focus on grieving, healing, and caring for her child without the constant pressure of financial worry.
Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. Your support is not just financial—it is a reminder that Natasha is seen, supported, and not alone during this incredibly difficult time.
Her Birthday is tomorrow & i would love generosity to lead her in being able to enjoy her day without the weight of such financial burden
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and care.
