Please help my wife Tina live

I always personally felt that asking others for help was the worst thing I would ever have to do, then on July 20th 2023, I had to tell my three children that their mother was diagnosed with cancer and was only given 3-11 months to live.

Just three weeks after her 48th birthday, my wife, Tina, was told she has stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer (about 17 years before doctors even start considering pancreatic cancer as a cause of any symptoms) and was given under a year to live. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly and aggressive cancers there is and it is notoriously difficult to treat.

We have been married for 27 years in January and have had the pleasure to raise three wonderful children. Like most marriages we have had our ups and downs but kept our faith in each other and the life we have shared to see us through. That faith and spirit was tested the day the doctors gave us the most horrifying news of our lives. We were told the doctors refuse to do surgery and refuse to look beyond the protocols of the American Cancer Society. Now, two months since the diagnosis Tina has completed three chemotherapy treatments. So far, the only real symptoms are related to the chemotherapy. Tina does have a port for her chemo and has been left in a weakened condition, so she can't work. She is currently on short term disability. She has submitted paperwork to be considered for disability accommodations, and we are waiting on response. However we do not believe her employer will make the required adjustments. At which point Tina will be fired and we will lose our insurance. We have looked into other options for insurance should she loose her job. But unfortunately, all we are doing is following the same regiment that was originally prescribed. But I have found a glimmer of hope for my wife. Envita Medical Center in Arizona. They have a dedicated personalized treatment plan that combines chemo, immuno, holistic and metabolic therapies. They operate outside of the constraints of the medical system and insurance companies, so we have to pay out of pocket. The expected lab bills for just the initial process are between $12,000 and $16,000. After that we can expect a treatment plan from 10 to 14 weeks which will cost us about $12,000 a week. To us, it might as well be a Trillion dollars.

That is why I am humbly asking for your help. Please help me extend my wife's life and give her a fighting chance.
Please donate whatever you can, every cent will be to support Tina's continuing cancer battle. I cannot provide this for my wife, but I will and I must swallow my pride to ask for your help.

I think it may be important for anyone reading this to know and understand some things about pancreatic cancer.

FIRST: Two thirds or about 66% of new pancreatic cancer patients are 65 or older. Remember that Tina is only 48. This is why some of the signs that Tina had were simply ignored and dismissed because no one was even looking for it.

SECOND: A diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is basically a death sentence. The time I have left with Tina is more likely measured in months rather than years. Though it is one of the rarest cancers, it is the third highest cause of deaths by cancer in America.

THIRD: The symptoms of pancreatic cancer are things that are so mundane and easy to fix with a pill that they often go unnoticed until it is too late. Some indications are things like;

Back pain that you can't seem to fix with medicine. Tina blamed this on the car accident that she was rear ended in.

Constant persistent indigestion / heartburn. Tina now recalls that she was eating tums after every meal for months.

Frequent loose stools or blood in your stool.

Feeling full but eating less.

Persistent tiredness or weakness. Leading up to Tina's diagnosis we now recall that her energy levels were very low and she had little motivation to get anything done.

A new or recent diagnosis of diabetes that is difficult to control.

Jaundice or yellowing of the skin or eyes. I noticed her eyes were dull and had a yellowish color to them back in January. It went away so I didn't follow up with her.

FOURTH: We visited the Cancer Treatment Center in Atlanta Ga. At that visit we were informed that they are seeing an alarming number of 40 somethings with various forms of cancer at stage 4. As of yet they have not been able to pin point a cause to this drastic and disturbing rise in late stage cancer diagnosis. They believe given the large number of new cases that it is either related to the food we eat or the environment.

FIFTH: The five year survival rate of pancreatic cancer patients at stage 4 is only 3%

SIXTH: Right now there are no drugs that effect the growth and spread of pancreatic cancer in a significant way. All the drugs contained in the chemotherapy treatments are to combat the cancer in the other organs of the body. Meanwhile the cancer in the pancreas continues to grow almost unchecked.

If caught early pancreatic cancer can be managed though treatment is still difficult. But because it is usually found after the cancer has metastasized (spread to other organs of the body) it is usually found to late to be treated successfully.

Once again I am pleading for your help to find a treatment to help my wife live even a little bit longer. From the moment of her diagnosis we threw out all processed foods and anything high in sugar or carbs. We are trying to eat fresh whole foods in their most natural form and then have them prepared by hand to ensure we know what we are eating and to minimize the possibilities of harmful chemicals in our food. I have personally taken control of her diet and exercise in an effort to try and improve her health and especially her immune system to help combat the cancer.

I keep running into doctors who seem to write my wife off and tell me "Sorry there is nothing else to be done". But I will continue to fight for my wife everyday. I refuse to accept that there is nothing to be done. I refuse to believe she can't be saved. I refuse to give up. Please help me!!!!
