Please help my wife beat colon cancer!

Hi my name is james and i am fundraising for my amazing wife who is a 35 year old psychotherapist who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer this past weekend!

Our whole world has just been turned upside down!

This all started last year when we were preparing to get married and stress was high with the planning! Martyna started getting pains in her tummy!

The pains would come and go and she put it down to the stress of the wedding! As time went on the pains would become more frequent, she started havis some issues with going the bathroom and different pains. A trip to poland was planned and I urged her to see a doctor while she was away!

Little did we know we were about to receive the most devastating news we could ever imagine! They found a 8cm tumour on her ovaries lesions on her liver and her bio markers were off the chart!

Upon arriving home to Dublin we went straight to Beaumont Hospital where we were told it was just a cyst and the lesions on her liver were just polops, we were somewhat relieved but she kept asking me why they wouldn't look at her scan results and markers! They sent her home with pain meds!

2 nights later she woke up screaming in pain and i rushed her back to Beaumont!

Again they said it was acid and gave her 2 paracetamol!!!!

A few days later after a brief talk with a frien i was advised to take her to the rotunda!

They were all over her! They had her in a bed within hours and got her seen to straight away! But this is where it gets worse! A few days into her stay and a few scans later we were told the news! Its cancer!

I went numb! I cant imagine how she felt, but we both just sat there in silence! We broke down in tears and we could barely speak with the fear of what was happening!

She was admitted to the mater hospital and the got her in for surgery straight away! They removed both her ovaries and some of her colon, but that was just the start of it! The oncologist came to see us and informed us that her cancer had spread to her peritoneum which is the "bag" all your organs are held together with, and that Chem will not cure it!

I was horrified and and could not believe what i was hearing!

We can not take this as a final answer! We need to fight!

We are seeking alternative treatments with immunotherapy which has had amazing results but not available in hospitals and will cost us way more than we can afford!

I have seen the power of people when we stand together and am in a position i would never wish on anyone!

I ask please if there is anyone willing to help us i will be forever grateful!

Martyna is an incredible person, she is a psychotherapist who thrives on helping others and an animal lover with a heart of gold!

She is a 35 year old vibrant young woman with so much more to give!!!

I just hope that with all the help she offers others that people will be able to offer her the same help now in her time of need!

Witajcie, mam na imię James i zwracam się do Was o pomoc w zebraniu pieniędzy dla mojej wspaniałej żony, która jest 35- letnią psychoterapeutka u której zdiagnozowali raka jelita grubego w IV stadium.

Cały nasz świat wywrócił się do góry nogami! Wszystko zaczęło się w zeszłym roku gdy przygotowywaliśmy się do ślubu, Martyna zaczęła się skarżyć na bóle brzucha. Z czasem bóle pojawiały się coraz częściej i doszły problemy z toaletą. Od połowy lutego tego roku bóle stały się nie do wytrzymania ale Martyna była odsłana do domu z pogotowia aż dwa razy jedynie z tabletkami przeciwbólowymi i terminem na skan na koniec kwietnia. Bóle nie występowały, doszła gorączka i ogromny ból uniemożliwiający skorzystanie z toalety, na szczęście za 3cia wizyta na pogotowiu Martyna została wreszcie przyjęta do szpitala.

Niestety to wtedy usłyszeliśmy straszną diagnozę: rak jelita z przerzutami na jajniki, wątrobę i otrzewna. Została wykonana natychmiastowa operacja ponieważ istniało ryzyko całkowitego zamknięcia jelita przez raka i przerzut na jajniku rósł z dnia na dzień powodując że brzuch Martyny wyglądał jak w 4 miesiącu ciąży.

Martyna teraz dochodzi do siebie po operacji ale jedyne co oferuje jej szpital to chemioterapia żeby "kupić" czas.

Trudno nam się z tym pogodzić i zwracamy się do Was o pomoc żeby dać Martynie szansę na wyzdrowienie za pomocą immunotherapii, która pacjenci na raka są z sukcesem leczeni w Walii, niestety Irlandia nie oferuje takiego leczenia bezpłatnie.

Chcemy różniez spróbować skonsultować przypadek Martyny z innymi specjalistami w Irlandii i w Polsce z nadzieją na lepsze wieści. Z góry dziękujemy za Wasze wsparcie, dużo dla nas znaczy.
