Please Help my Wife Amara in Her Medical Health Crisis
Donation protected
My wife Amara has been going through some debilitating health issues that started with a sudden hospitalization late last year with sepsis and she has been battling infections with constant antibiotics ever since. Unrelated, she has also been dealing with daily vertigo (balance and stability issues) which has caused her to have limited mobility.
Initially, the hospital misdiagnosed the source of the sepsis as a bladder infection and Amara was treated for that for months with the infection not letting up no matter what antibiotics were tried. She had no symptoms of a bladder infection so finally and after waiting quite some time, she was referred to a specialist in Davis. After receiving a CT scan, it was discovered that the infections are coming from her kidney (scarring on her right kidney with a large kidney stone and an infection in the kidney and kidney tract) and now will require 2 outpatient surgeries…the first one scheduled in July. This first surgery also comes with a high risk of severe sepsis as the main side effect and we have been forewarned that she may have to be hospitalized again. Please keep her in your prayers!
As for the vertigo…Amara saw an Audiologist and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor and they have ruled out the vertigo as an inner ear issue and have said that it’s most likely neurological. We are currently awaiting results from the MRI that she just had on her brain.
With all that being said, we are drowning in medical bills that continue to multiply and we simply can’t afford to stay afloat. There are more coming with the upcoming outpatient surgeries and follow-up visits with these specialists. Through it all, my wife is still laughing, still smiling, still working, still serving, still helping others and keeping a positive attitude. It’s been a rough season for us to say the least.
If you could keep us in your prayers (especially for restoration of Amara’s health) and share this GoFundMe we would be so appreciative. God is good and we know He will provide! Thank you family and friends! We love you very much.
