Please HELP Toby LIVE!

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Hi everyone. My name is Janelle and this fundraiser is for my angel, my world, my sweet Labrador Toby. I found him 7 years ago, on my birthday outside in the winter time freezing at just 7 weeks old. I rescued him and brought him home. I knew he was special immediately. I didn’t know he would eventually rescue me.

WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW

Toby is now 7 years old and the vet believes he is suffering from IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease.) I took him to emergency 2 weeks ago because I knew something terrible was wrong. My veterinarian sent a referral to the neurology specialists at Cornell University (very hard to get seen unless emergency case.) I scheduled the appointment for December 8th and he was put on strict rest and meds in the mean time. The problem is, in just two weeks, he has gone downhill very fast and is already in the final paralysis and incontinence stage. He will need an emergency MRI to identify exactly what is going on. He will also need emergency surgery to have the chance of a decent recovery. I do not have the funds to save Toby and I can’t get the credit due to me being a college student and being in debt from it. I don’t want to lose him like this when he still has years to live a great life. That is what this fundraiser is for. I am going to do everything I can. I will be dedicating all of my time to rehabilitating him after the surgery.
