Hi, my name is Blanca. I’m recently widowed and living on a small Social Security income, and I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help — but right now, I truly need it. My beloved dog Harold needs surgery to remove a painful growth on his leg, and I’m doing everything I can to help him heal.

Harold is a gentle, loving rescue Doberman — the seventh rescue my late husband Ray and I adopted together over the years. We always had a heart for animals in need, and Harold became a special part of our family. Since losing Ray less than a year ago, Harold has been my only companion — the last piece of our little family.

The surgery he needs will cost $3,500, which is far more than I can afford on my own. Harold has given me so much love, comfort, and strength through the hardest year of my life. I just want to give him the chance to be healthy again and free from pain.
