I am Jamel’s mom.
My son was brutally attacked this past Saturday on August 30th, 2025, around 12am. This senseless act of violence left him with a fractured skull and multiple brain bleeds. Since that moment, our world has completely changed.
Jamel has been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since early Sunday morning. As of today, September 4th, he has been released from the hospital, but his journey is far from over. He is now on seizure medication and strong painkillers to manage the constant discomfort and risk of complications. He requires around-the-clock care and will need weeks—possibly months—of healing, both physically and emotionally.
Jamel must now fly back to St. Louis so he can be cared for by family, meaning he will be out of work. He’s not only losing vital income, but this situation has also put his modeling career on hold. His face, once a source of pride in his career, is now severely bruised, swollen, and marked with a bloody eye—a painful reminder of what happened and a barrier to his professional life.
This attack didn’t just harm his body—it disrupted his future.
As his mother, I’m doing everything I can to support him, but we need help. The mounting medical bills, travel costs, follow-up care, medications, and basic living expenses during his recovery are more than we can manage alone. Jamel has a long road ahead, and we want to make sure he can focus on healing, not financial stress.
If you’re able to donate—no matter how small—or even share this page, it would mean the world to our family. Jamel is strong, but he shouldn’t have to face this alone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Jamel’s Mom any funds he will get will go towards medical expenses and living expenses for the next six weeks till you can get back on his feet and back to work
