On January 15, my sister Whitney had a stroke and was life flighted to St. Luke Hospital in Houston, TX. After arriving to the emergency room and subsequent testing, it was determined she had a Pontine stroke. This type of stroke is uncommon, particularly for someone of her age. She has been on life support since her arrival to St. Luke and the odds are not in her favor. She is married to her loving husband, Cody and beautiful ten year old daughter, Cambria. Her husband owns a small cabinetry business and she also has her own small business, Whit’s Wicks, which you can find on Facebook. They do not have health insurance and are already being questioned by hospital administrators about their financial situation. Anything you can provide my sister’s family would go a long way in ensuring her treatment continues as we, her family and many friends pray for her recovery. All donations will go to paying her medical bills. It is not lost on me how good humanity is, and what we can accomplish for the ones we love and believe in.
