Hi everyone, my name is Cayden. On the night of October 11th 2025, my mother was at home where she lives alone when her house exploded from a gas leak.

The house is unsalvageable. My mother suffered severe burns to 30% of her body including her face, neck, chest and hands. She also has swelling to her airway from inhalation of superheated gases and is currently intubated in the ICU.

There were three dogs at home during the explosion. Thankfully, two of her dogs are okay. However, her labradoodle named Tucker was burnt and is currently being treated at an emergency veterinary clinic.

Prior to this event my mother was living on disability, thus she does not have the funds to rebuild her home, pay for emergency veterinary bills and her own future medical treatments. She already lived well below normal means in a small home that she has been building on her own for years, which is now gone.
