Please Help My Mom’s Cookie Legacy Live On

For over 25 years, my mom, Kelli Ridenour, alongside many employees, volunteers and local foster youth operated Kelli’s Cookies in Roseville where they baked fresh gourmet cookies and distributed product throughout the community, county and even the World. Her bakery, created by her passion to bake and her love for our community, was a blessing to me and so many others.
As many of you know, my mom sadly passed away late last year after a very brave and courageous battle with cancer. I miss her everyday, and I know so many in our community miss her as well.
After her passing, all baking came to an immediate halt and her business closed permanently to the public. One of her greatest passions in life was her bakery, and it was her expressed dying wish to have the legacy of her cookies live on beyond her life. In honoring her memory, I have committed myself to continuing the tradition of baking some of her most popular cookies with the same love, care, and dedication that she poured into each and every batch.
I have created this GoFundMe page to seek your help and support in keeping the legacy of my mom and her bakery alive by taking her recipes and recreating the cookies she loved the most. I am excited to announce that I have recently teamed up with an out-of-state commercial bakery that is capable and willing to reproduce some of her favorite cookies for all of us to enjoy again. There are, however, some initial costs associated with beginning this venture. The bakery estimates a cost of approximately four thousand dollars to begin development of my mom’s recipes. This investment includes research, testing and development, and first batches on three of my mom’s most popular cookies. I have conducted my own research on this bakery, and I fully believe they are capable of bringing my mom’s cookies back into production soon.
