As a many of you know my mom has been very sick for a long time. We were all very happy when she found out she could have a surgery that would help her get better. Unfortunately, as many of you also know, there were complications and an extra illness that had her hospitalized for almost a week. This has all extended her time away from work. Now she has learned that because of her furlough due to COVID she does not meet the requirements for any paid medical leave as she hasn’t averaged enough hours per week between the furlough and the hours she missed at work from being sick in the first place. She went into this with the understanding that she would be paid 100% of her wages for up to 12 weeks....however, last week she found out she isn’t being paid at all. Her missing work was no fault of her own and it baffles me as to why she is not receiving the help she expected.
My mom isn’t the kind of person to ask for help, she’s usually the one helping everyone else. It was all I could do to keep her from just trying to go back to work the day she found out she would have no pay, fortunately though her doctors wouldn’t release her for work but that means she is stuck with the anxiety of not being able to pay her bills. She has been out of work for over a month and was only able to work minimal hours for a month or so before due to how sick she was. She doesn’t qualify for unemployment because of being sick since she is on a medical leave however her medical leave is basically just holding her job for her and while that’s great, it’s not helping her to make it through until she can work again.
I wanted to create this go fund me for her to try to relieve some of her stress. I know times are hard for everyone and I also know she would appreciate prayers as much as she would appreciate any donations. If you can help her in any way please do.
She is the glue that holds our little family together and we need her. I’ve truly never seen her so sick and weak and to see her with all this extra anxiety on top of it while she should just be trying to heal is the hardest thing ever.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Anything you can do to help would be amazing even if it's just well wishes.
