Please Help My Mom Keep Uterine Cancer Away

Hey Everyone,

My name is Marisa Infante and I set up this GoFundMe page to financially help my mom, Leslie Infante get the care she needs and cover her mortgage and monthly expenses as well as the many medical bills. It is really hard for us to ask for help. We normally would work extra hours but that is not an option this time. She needs to recover and I need to be there for her. She thankfully has Medicare but it only covers so much.

She just recently had an emergency surgery to remove an aggressive massive cancerous tumor called Uterine Carcinosarcoma that was thankfully caught early at stage 1a. She will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation through this year and the rest is unknown. Up until this point she was a healthy 71 year old woman. Thankfully the cancer was caught early and the tumor fully removed. However, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions. She was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the same time. I have been caretaking for her and making sure she is on the mend but it’s been so hard to see her go through the pain. I wish I could wave a magic wand to make her feel better. On top of it all, the pandemic caused my mom to lose her long time established business and use up every bit of her savings. We have been living off credit cards and just trying to stay focused on her getting the care she needs so she can heal and we can all rejoice in her recovery. That is the main goal. The medical emergency was already overwhelmingly stressful enough, let alone the bills thereafter. We could really use the financial help so she can focus all of her attention on healing. Emotional and financial stress: Our world was turned upside down. Getting through the medical system has proven very challenging. I just want to see her get well and make sure this disease stays away. She means the world to me. It has been so incredibly hard to see her suffering through the recovery of Chemotherapy and its side effects as well as all the other procedures and drugs the doctors have prescribed to ensure this cancer stays away for good. I just want her healed and well.

What We Need: Please help her get the care she needs to stay in her home and continue her medical treatments.
