Please help my Mom Karen smile again

Hello family and friends. My name is Amy, I am reaching out on behalf of my mom, Karen. I would love to help my mom get the help that she so desperately needs.

My mom has had dental problems for a very long time. She was able to get by for a while, but the dental work she had done in the past had been slowly falling apart and the decay led to abscesses. It got to the point not that long ago that she had a severe mouth abscess that needed to be resolved immediately and could have turned into something much worse. She was told that surgery needs to be done to resolve this problem; the bacteria, decay, and abscesses can cause so many other health problems that can extend beyond her mouth.

She’s a senior on a very limited and fixed income living by herself. She recently had to have the surgery to remove ALL of her remaining teeth (10, plus 4 that were broken) and had implants put in place to allow her to get dentures. There has been a time frame of healing that lasted several months that needed to happen between the oral surgery and the dentures. The cost of the oral surgery and the dentures is more than $25,000 which needed to be done by specialists. It was no longer an option to delay treatment and she’s had trouble trying to find a way to pay for all of this while retired. We need to get her the care she needs not just for the health benefits so she can be around for her children and grandchildren, but also for her self-confidence and just being able to eat.
