We are reaching out with humble hearts to ask for support for our mother, Jennifer Martinez, who has faced an incredibly difficult year physically, emotionally, and financially. In July, Jennifer suffered a stroke deep in the right side of her brain. This affected her speech, balance, and ability to swallow properly. Despite these challenges, she worked hard through therapy and recovery and courageously returned to work.
Shortly after, she injured her right knee, damaging the cartilage. This led to a devastating fall where she fractured her femur and kneecap. As if that wasn’t enough, she also developed serious diabetic foot ulcers and is now facing the possibility of toe amputation. Two weeks ago, Jennifer and her entire staff were unexpectedly let go from their jobs. With that, she lost not only her income but also her housing and health insurance. The weight of these losses has been overwhelming.
She is now preparing to move back to Florida, where she will have a safer environment to recover — no stairs, warm sunshine, and a space better suited for healing. This move gives her hope for a fresh start and a better chance at recovery. We are asking for any support you can give to help cover outstanding and ongoing medical bills, relocation expenses to move her belongings to Florida, and basic living expenses while she stabilizes and continues treatment. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to give financially, we deeply appreciate your prayers, love, and sharing this page. Thank you for standing with Jennifer during this incredibly challenging season. Your kindness means more than we can express.
With gratitude,
Her Family
